Pain is temporary, failure lasts forever

Lean, agile living for the running mother of Peter

You get what you deserve

I can't stop being fascinated by little Pete's ever increasing insight into language and culture. It's not only that he can copy our speech, he also knows when some things are appropriate. Like yesterday evening. He didn't want to sleep and craved something to drink. This is what happened:
- Mommy, can I have something to drink? (nice and sweet voice)
- No, it's time for you to sleep.
- Now, listen, mommy. I want something to drink! (Harsh tone)
Of course it's someone grown up who taught him this behavior. And that is probably the most amazing thing: what ever the grownup was trying to force little Peter to listen to, he probably forgot the next second. But how he uses that language and tone, he'll never forget.
