A day off, in between sprints

Today was our day off. We use to have one day between the sprints and then the guys are free to do what they think is a good task for the day. So, if someone thinks that is fixing that annoying thingy then they can do that. Or if someone think that's the small bug that got introduced but not fixed they are welcome to give it a try. And if someone wants to do some research or read, what is also their choice.

The effect is happy developers and increased quality. Why? Well, since most of the guys have already thought up something to do the start up time is minimal. And they feel very motivated to get it done. And the quality: well, since it's their own pet project, of course they put their pride in as well.

And sometimes rewarding is that simply: just give some slack!
